Recruiting people in UK with eczema
Is eczema a part of your life? Volunteers needed for clinical trial.
Trialbee has now made it possible for about 80 candidates with eczema to volunteer in a medical research study around North Yorkshire & Sheffield. The screening period starts mid- September but pre sign-up is already possible.
Purpose of the study:
The purpose of this study is to explore the efficacy and safety of an investigational treatment for everyone with moderate to severe eczema (atopic dermatitis). Clinical and non-clinical studies have found there is a realistic expectation that this treatment will provide meaningful therapeutic benefit in eczema. Approximately 84 volunteers will be a part of this study. We are looking for both males and females, aged 18 years or older, who are diagnosed with eczema (atopic dermatitis).
How can I participate?
We are looking for both males and females, 18 years of age or older, who fit the description below:
- Are diagnosed with moderate to severe eczema (atopic dermatitis).
- Creams or ointments applied to your skin are not working, or your doctor has advised you not to take them.
- Able and willing to visit a clinic to receive treatment and complete study procedures such as physical examinations, having your blood drawn for tests, and providing skin sample.
Screening begins during September 2019.
What do I have to do during the study?
Before the study begins, you will go through a screening period, which lasts up to 28 days. During this time, you are required to stop taking current medications for your eczema and visit the clinic for screening. During the study, you will visit the clinic for treatment and/or clinical evaluations and tests approximately 11 times over a period of 4 months.
You can at any time ask questions you may have and you may choose to end your participation in the study at any time.
